Kings Extend Contracts for GM Dean Lombardi, Coach Terry Murray
Filed under: Kings , NHL Coaching The Los Angeles Kings have extended the the contracts of GM Dean Lombardi and coach Terry Murray by two years, the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday night . Assistant general manager Ron Hextall, vice president of hockey operations Jeff Solomon also received extnsions, which will carry them all through the 2012-13 season. The Kings made the playoffs for the first time since 2002 this past season, largely on the youth management culled from the NHL Draft. “I know there was a little bit of a concern with the fans as to were we going to get this done, but our season went longer than normal – thank God,” said Tim Leiweke told th, the Kings’ governor and the president and chief executive officer of AEG, the club’s parent company, told the Times . ?
