Reports: NHL to Play Two Outdoor Games Next Season

Filed under: Canadiens , Capitals , Flames , Penguins , Winter Classic Building upon the recent success of outdoor hockey, reports have surfaced that the NHL will hold two regular season games in the elements in 2011. The official announcement will come from commissioner Gary Bettman in Chicago on Friday. The first outdoor game of 2011 will come as part of the annual NHL Winter Classic on New Year’s Day. ?
