Kenyon Martin to Return Against Spurs

Filed under: Nuggets , Spurs , NBA Injuries DENVER — Kenyon Martin was getting tired of watching games. That soon will end. “We’ll play him tonight,” Denver Nuggets acting coach Adrian Dantley said after Saturday morning’s shootaround about his rugged power forward returning after missing 18 games due to tendinitis in his left knee. Martin played it coy after taking part in the shootaround, calling himself a “game-time decision” and saying it will be “my decision” whether he plays. But there was no doubt from Dantley about using Martin, who last played March 3 and the following week underwent platelet-rich plasma. “Yes, I expect him to play,” Dantley said. “He’s been working out on his own and so he said he felt pretty good.” The Nuggets have three games left in the regular season, and Dantley said he’ll look to limit Martin to between 20 to 25 minutes an outing. He’d like him to play in at least two of the games. ? Permalink ?|? Email this ?|? Linking?Blogs ?|? Comments
