Marc Savard Taken Off Ice on Stretcher

Filed under: Bruins , Penguins , NHL Injuries Boston Bruins center Marc Savard was temporarily knocked unconscious and was removed from the ice at Mellon Arena on a stretcher after a collision with Pittsburgh Penguins winger Matt Cooke on Sunday. Savard sent a shot on the Pittsburgh net from a few feet inside the blue line with about six minutes remaining.
