Mariners Trade Brandon Morrow to Toronto for Brandon League

Filed under: Blue Jays , Mariners , AL East , AL West , MLB Transactions Jack Zduriencik and the Mariners ‘ busy offseason continued Monday night when they agreed to send Brandon Morrow to the Blue Jays for reliever Brandon League and a currently unknown prospect, according to Ken Rosenthal . The Seattle Times ‘ Geoff Baker confirms that Morrow and League are in line for physicals tomorrow , which means the deal should be complete soon. The only thing known about the third player in the deal right now is that he’s a minor leaguer and Baker says it’s not Brett Wallace , who the Blue Jays just acquired from Oakland. Because Morrow is a 24-year old with significant upside as a starter while League is a reliever (though he could be a very good one), it seems likely that the prospect could be a big part of this deal for Seattle, though until the deal is officially announced we won’t know more. ?
