Flip Saunders Calls Wizards’ Effort ‘Unacceptable’

Filed under: Suns , Wizards PHOENIX — After the Wizards were absolutely crushed by the Suns in the final game of their four-city West coast swing, there wasn’t really a whole lot to say. Washington barely bothered to show up, and it was clear they packed it in at halftime, as they watched the Suns’ lead reach as many as 33 points before the third quarter came to its merciful conclusion. Obviously, the fact that his team didn’t compete for most of this one didn’t sit well with head coach Flip Saunders. Sure, the team was playing on the second night of a back-to-back, and it was their third game in four nights — in three different cities.
