Ovechkin Ejected for Kneeing Gleason

Not only is he one of the league’s best offensive players, but he is a ferocious hitter who takes no prisoners on the ice. His mentality — treat every shift as if it’s your last — can be a double-edged sword, as Ovechkin has shown recently. Last week, he was ejected for a boarding penalty against the Buffalo Sabres . Monday night, he picked up his second game misconduct in less than a week. This time, it was for a knee-to-knee hit on Carolina defenseman Tim Gleason .
