Napa Police Reopen Case Into Alleged Assault by Raiders’ Tom Cable

by Nancy Gay Filed under: Raiders , AFC West , NFL Police Blotter Napa, Calif., police said Friday they have reopened the criminal investigation into an alleged assault by Raiders head coach Tom Cable on defensive assistant Randy Hanson on Aug. 5 at the team’s training camp facilities. This comes days after FanHouse , National Football Post and Yahoo! Sports revealed that Cable attacked Hanson in what has been described as a blindsided assault during a coaches’ meeting at the Raiders’ camp headquarters at the Napa Valley Marriott. According to multiple sources, Hanson sustained a fractured jaw and other serious facial injuries in the altercation and has sought hospital treatment as recently as Wednesday evening.
